Jointly organized by the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade and the Embassy of the Russian Federation, a Russian film review is being held in the museum's Cinema Hall, entrance from Uzun Mirkova Street on Wednesday, 7th May, starting at 19:00.

The program will include two films: "Blockade scene" and "Girls", which testify to the indomitable spirit of the inhabitants of besieged Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War.

The film evening will be officially opened by Mr. Markov Sergey, First Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for External Relations, and translation from Russian will be provided by the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

The film "Blockade scene" (directed by Kim Druzhinin, Alexei Telnov) is a moving story about the ballerinas of the Mariinsky Theater who, during the blockade of Leningrad, preserved the hope of the citizens with their art and contributed to the spiritual victory over Nazism.

The documentary-feature film "Girls" (directed by Marija Popritsak) brings touching confessions of women who, as girls, survived the most difficult period in the history of their city - hunger, death, fear, but also love, hope and vitality.

Admission to the screenings is free.
